APPEAL
We as part of the human family are born free and equal in dignity and rights but we have been denied these rights by the autocratic ruler of Bhutan. The disregard and contempt shown by the regime has led to barbarous acts of oppression which only reinforced our commitment to achieve what is rightly ours. The objective of the YOB is to translate the right to self-determination and equality of all into reality. This is only possible when all of us join hands and remove the privileged society that presently exists. We must establish a society where equal rights and real opportunities to determine one’s own fate is guaranteed with the right to have equal say in the matters of common concern.
To this end, we appeal to the people of Bhutan to unite and do away the existing despotic system to ensure not only ours but also the future of our generation to come.
We appeal to the International Community and liked minded Organizations for sustained solidarity in support of Our Right to Live in Human Dignity as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
