All Together Takes Off!
IFM-SEI's inclusion s trategy, 'All Together' took its first major step on 22nd-27th April, 2008, bringing together IFM members and partner organisations to Oslo (Norway). The aim of the All together seminar was to share their experience of inclusion work with disadvantaged groups. The seminar was the first step in an ambitious strategy to ensure IFM reflects the diversity of our communities.
This seminar brought together those with expertise and experience in the field of inclusion to share methodology and develop national strategies.
All Together Takes Off!
IFM-SEI's inclusion s trategy, 'All Together' took its first major step on 22nd-27th April, 2008, bringing together IFM members and partner organisations to Oslo (Norway). The aim of the All together seminar was to share their experience of inclusion work with disadvantaged groups. The seminar was the first step in an ambitious strategy to ensure IFM reflects the diversity of our communities.The seminar was attended not only by the IFM-SEI members. The IFM-SEI had people from other organisation making speaches and doing presentations to have a wider perspective on inclusion work that is already being done.
Participants of the seminar had an opportunity to hear the presentations or participate in interactive workhops made by:
- Mats Andressen from Norwegian Disabled Youth on barriers to inclusion for young disabled people;
- Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam from University of Oslo on Children's Right in Iran;
- Ragnar Eggesvik from Norwegian Children's and Youth Council "Experience of an organisations consciously addressing inclusion";
- Birgitte Brekke from Volunteer Norway (full name of the organisation: Association of NGO's in Norway - Frivillighet Norge);
- Anwar, Ikran, Panzon and Susanna from Refugee Youth that devoted the whole week of their time to share their experience on identifying and facing barriers to working with refugees, but also giving loads of their energy and contribution to the whole seminar;
- Mansour Saberi on gender issues and their relation to Islam.
