Being Right can't be right
The rise of far-right parties and groups in many European countries is shocking. Sexist jokes, anti-democratic views and racist, anti-semitic, islamophobic and homophobic remarks are accepted in many parts of our society. Easy solutions for complex challenges and difficult circumstances become more and more popular. Also our organisations, individual members and meeting places have been attacked.
Rainbow Network Co-ordinator Nominations
Nominations have been re-opened for the Rainbow Network Co-ordinator for IFM-SEI. The post is a three-year term, starting from June 2013. The Rainbow Network is an open network of any member of IFM-SEI interested in working internationally on the issues of gender and sexuality or setting up national networks.
Children from APUTU organise a walk against drugs
Our member organisation “All Pakistan Federation of United Trade Unions” (APFUTU) has recently opened a new school with the financial support of Woodcraft Folk, Sheffield (United Kingdom) to educate young labour children from a brick factory.
Core group meeting of Co-operACTION took place in Bogota
We are back from an amazing Co-operACTION core group meeting. From 3–10 March, 11 educators spent a week full of training on co-operatives, exchanging about unfair trade, experiencing cooperation and planning educational processes for youth co-operative projects in 11 Falcon organisations.

Rainbow Resources: Study session report now online
In November 2012 IFM-SEI held a study session to introduce our ‘Rainbow Resources’ publication on gender and sexuality education with children to young educators from member and partner organisations who are now running local Rainbow projects. If you would like to find out more about the content and the results of the study session, you can read our report.
Turning the Tide
We invite young people from our European member organisations to our seminar “Turning the tide: The rise of right-wing extremism in Europe and how to tackle it peacefully”. It will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania from April 28th – May 5th 2013.
